I Am A Work In Progress, Are you?

Thats what I am. Are you? Or are you perfect? Ill tell you right now, I am a massive work in progress. I have come a long way thats for sure. God has done a world of work in and through me the last few years but I sure do have a long way to go. I have a lot to work on. There are so many things in my life that I need to work on. With everyday that goes by I learn how much I am truly a work in progress. Life, to me, used to be all about being perfect and not showing the world my weaknesses however the more that I live the more I realize I got a lot of work to do!

This is not a bad thing though. I don’t look at this as a negative. In fact being this self aware has taught me a lot. It gives me the ability to learn and grow as a person. If we don’t humble ourselves enough to know that we have a lot of work to do, then we wont ever grow, we wont ever learn, and we will just stay the same and in most cases become worse. I imagine a world where people become self-aware of where they are so that they allow themselves to grow and become who they were created to be. I imagine a world where people give themselves the grace to royally mess up, and the people around them give them the grace to royally mess up as well. I imagine a world where people live with the freedom that God has given us through Jesus to make mistakes, learn, and grow from them.

What kind of world do you imagine? I think this world that I imagine would be fantastic, a world where we all understand that we are a work in progress and that God has taken us a long way but we sure do have a long way to go. I think this would allow us all to live with the freedom I believe it takes for us to personally grow into the people we were created to be. The sooner we understand that we are a work in progress and so is every human being on earth, the sooner this world can be a reality. What do you think?
