What Faith Is, Really?

Ive began to really learn what faith truly is recently. Faith is action. Faith is what you do. The bible defines faith as “confidence in what we hope for and the assurance about what we do not see.” The good word also says that faith without works is dead, meaning you cannot have faith without actually doing something. Faith is being willing to take action having confidence that what we hope for and what we do not see will manifest itself in physical reality. The good word also says that it is impossible to please god without faith. Wow. It is impossible to please god without stepping out on faith and doing something. Why is that? The only reasonable explanation I can come up with is because he wants to do something great in our life. He has a plan and a purpose for our life and he is pleased when he is able to activate that plan in our life. He is not able to activate that plan in our life when we are stationary. He is only able to activate that plan when we step out on faith and take action.

What I have discovered is that the greatest feeling in the world is doing my purpose. The greatest feeling in the world is discovering my gift and bringing that value to the world everyday of my life. That is the greatest feeling because I know I am pleasing my creator. God is pleased not when I am perfect (because that is impossible) but rather when I am taking action on my purpose because he can activate that plan in my life. It was a cold night in January, I was leaving Starbucks at 9pm. I had worked from 8-5pm, been up since 6am, and had been at Starbucks for the last 3.5 hours writing. I hadn’t ate dinner yet, and I realized what time it was and how I felt like I had supernatural energy. I took a few minutes in my car in silence to take in the moment. Only a few weeks prior I was fighting depression, and now I was excited, I was full of a supernatural energy that I couldn’t really explain in words. Why? The only reasonable explanation I could come up with was that I was doing my purpose, discovering my purpose, and I was pleasing my creator because he was finally able to activate the plan he had for my life. I was truly stepping out on faith, doing what I felt was the right thing in my heart, and now God was able to use me. He was able to start bringing the people and the things I needed in order for the dreams he had given me to physically manifest in my life.

Look faith is action. Faith is doing. Yes it is believing in something you cant see. But its not really faith unless you are actually doing something. Your creator wants to activate the plan he has for your life. In the end that is why he created you. God created you for a purpose and a plan to do incredible things which he planned in advance for you to do. He is pleased when you have faith because he can activate the plan he has for you. This is the greatest feeling on earth. There is nothing like going to bed at night knowing you are living out the plan and purpose for your life. You wake up excited everyday because you can’t wait to see what God is going to do in your life that day. Thats what faith is. Faith is action with belief. Give it a try.
