Take A Chance

Most of us wont get where we want to be because we are unwilling to take a chance. We are unwilling to take a risk. We are unwilling to step outside the norm of society and just flat out go for it. The reason we wont do it is simply because we don’t believe in ourselves. I am writing this only an hour after I quit my corporate job to go after my dream full time. I am 24 years old, making decent money for my age and for someone without a college degree so of course people call me crazy, illogical, senseless, yes I am all three. ALL three and I love it. I love actually chasing after my dreams, not talking about it, not thinking about it, but actually doing it.. No one that has ever chased and achieved their dreams was “smart” about it, they just freaking did it. They decided to take a chance and believe in themselves for once in their life. You get one life my friend and if you are always playing it “smart” and “logical”, if you are always thinking with your head, you will never truly full on chase after your dream. You have to be illogical and crazy to get where you want because if you are always doing what you see the world around you do you will always get what the world around you gets.

I believe the people that are illogical and crazy are actually the geniuses. They look at the world around them and do the opposite. They listen to their hearts instead of their heads, and we all admire those people because they have the guts to go after what they want. They believe in themselves. Why don’t you choose to be the person you admire? Thats what we all need to do. We need to be the person we admire because we follow our heart not our head. When you take a chance, you are choosing to believe in yourself and it makes you more confident. You automatically become more excited about life because now you are living in the unknown where you are forced to create the life that you want. See most of us never put ourselves in a position where we are forced to create the life we want. Where our back is against the wall and we have to make it happen. We don’t do this because of fear. Fear of not having enough money, fear of failing, fear of what people think. What we need to choose to feel is the fear of regret and choose to have faith in our god given abilities. You are capable.

The feeling I have after making a decision that will people will call stupid, crazy, illogical, is probably one of the greatest feelings I have. I love doing what people call crazy because I know I am on the right track. No one achieves greatness being logical. Stop getting your advice from people who haven’t achieved what you want to achieve. This feeling is a feeling of freedom because I chose to believe in myself enough to take a chance. Man we all need to feel this feeling. Its incredible and it all comes from smashing through that fear, through the stupid thoughts in our head, and following our heart.

So my question today is, when are you going to take a chance? This isn’t about quitting your full time job, this is about you taking a chance on yourself. When are you going to go for it? Why not now? Why would you wait? The perfect time is always now. You have to go for it. You get one life to live, the only thing you are wasting if you don’t go for it now is the most valuable asset you have, time. You can always make more money. You can always start over. You can always get a new job. But you can NEVER get your time back. Have the guts to go against the grain of society and chase after the dream inside your heart. You are capable. You can do it. If you don’t do it, do you really want to live with your future self regretting not doing it?
